When it comes to shopping in Torquay, there’s something for everyone. Fleet Walk is a stylish undercover shopping centre, the Pavilion is a converted Victorian theatre now housing a collection of speciality shops while further afield is The Willows, a huge out of town shopping centre.


Exeter has a great mixture of chic boutiques and stylish shops alongside the familiar big name stores. At its heart is the award-winning Princesshay Quarter with over 60 new shops, cafes and restaurants.

At the heart of the city is the Cathedral Quarter with the beautiful 800 year old Cathedral and with classic independent shops set around the spacious Green.

High Street runs parallel to Princesshay and the Cathedral area, and features all the popular store names. Guildhall and Harlequins undercover shopping centres are home to more familiar stores and small individual businesses.

Fore Street is at the centre of the West Quarter, leading downhill towards the River Exe. Here you’ll find antiques, arts and crafts, water activities and other attractions in the historic Quayside area alongside shops and cafes.


Plymouth is the largest centre for shopping in the South West (outside of Bristol) and features many independent retailers as well as national brands and high street names.

Plymouth’s extensive range of shopping districts and markets is well laid out for easy access, not only for shopping, but also for making the most of the great range of restaurants, cafes and Plymouth’s entertainment venues and attractions.

Places worth a visit for shopping include the Independent Quarter, The Barbican’s Historic Quarter and Plymouth’s new landmark shopping centre, Drake Circus
