Waggy Tails Welcome

We know that sometimes your dream getaway wouldn't be complete without your canine companion. Just like for every guest, there's a little something for every dog here at Villa Marina, whether they're the perfect companion for a day of exploring Torquay or more of a pampered pooch that would just love lazing in our sunny south-facing garden with you.

Dog Rules

For the comfort of all our guests, we do have a few doggy etiquette rules that we ask you to follow:

  1. Be honest about your dog when booking. We can accommodate smaller, well-behaved (house-trained) dogs. Smaller dogs would normally weigh no more than around 20kg.

  2. We charge £20 for your doggy stay. This covers some of the necessary cleaning fees.

  3. Accidents happen. Please let us know as soon as possible if our dog guests have an accident indoors or break anything so we can limit the damage. We will ask you to cover the cost of any deep cleaning, repair, or replacement needed.

  4. No dogs left alone. This doesn’t count for briefly going downstairs to the car or heading down for breakfast, but your dog should never be left to stay in the room alone for a long while you are out. The English Riviera is a very dog-friendly area, so you should have no issues taking your furry one with you when you explore or go to eat.

  5. Use of the garden. As far as we are aware, our garden is secure. However, dogs should be supervised when using the garden, as their safety will be your responsibility. We are happy to provide doggy bags to collect any deposits! Our dog, Merlin, maybe around when you use the garden. He is very friendly and tolerates dogs well.

  6. Muddy paws. They love the mud and the water, if yours is anything like ours. We provide a dog wash station in the garden, where you can wash your pup down before entering the house (it can also be used for boots!).

  7. There are no doggies in the dining room. During breakfast, your pooch should be left in your room, so we ask that you ensure they are comfortable being left without barking or causing damage.
